A Huge Success!

The benefit concert hosted by the Feats of Strength was such a wonderful community gathering promoting the documentary about an African American woman with cerebral palsy living an independent life style.  The film is being produced by Kyle Young, a PSU senior majoring in film and will be submitted to appropriate film festivals later this spring.  We hope such artistry will alleviate the stigma and facilitate a more appropriate participation in their communities as desired by the individual with family and friends often denied this population.  For this goal, donations received through the mail, paypal and at the concert far exceeded my expectations and plans are being considered for future community enriching and fundraising possibilities.  Pre school children danced as did a father and daughter to the original songs by the band.  Youth and adult preformers shared their musical talent!  Click  https://www.facebook.com/thefeatsofstrength    to view photos with comments.  Please feel free to make a comment of your own.
The evening closed with me joining Jeremy Frank on stage for closing comments and a special song dedicated to those struggling to live a life of integrity  though born with cerebral palsy, one of the most socially stigmatized disabilities.  I deeply appreciate the support and affection of such good friends and the State College Community!
Donations to the documentary and future advocacy projects continue to be accepted via the DONATE button on the upper right of this page.  Specify “For Documentary” in the “note  to seller.”
If you would like to volunteer or become involved in the conversation re Where we go from here………..that has just begun, please email poetry.cardsusa@gmail.com or leave a comment below and I will forward it to the appropriate person.
Thanks to all who find it “easier to dance!”
